British MP’s Vote In Favour Of Syria Airstrikes

British MPs have tonight pledged their support for air strikes in Syria after voting in the House of Commons.

MPs voted 397 to 223 in favor of launching airstrikes against ISIS in Syria,  a 174 majority.

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said RAF jets were ready to launch air strikes as soon as tomorrow night.

Despite opposing military intervention, the opposion leader Jeremy Corbyn had given Labour MPs a free vote on the issue.

The vote was held as thousands of anti-war protesters, led by the Stop the War Coalition  rallied in Parliament Square.

Boos can be heard as the result was announced.

There were cheers from inside though and big smiles from some of the politicians who just voted for more war
