A young boy is spotted by security cameras sneaking into a neighbour’s garage for a quick dog cuddle.
Hollie Breaux Mallet from Louisiana was reviewing CCTV footage of her garage when she noticed a little boy playing on a bike entering her premises and exchanging hugs and kisses with her pet dog Duchess.
Breaking News reports:
A young boy would often stop as he was cycling by her house, jump off his bike to run up and quickly give Duchess a hug and a pet before legging it before anyone noticed him.
Hollie, of course, found this adorable and posted the footage to Facebook, in the hope she could track him down.
‘Attn Neighbors! Anyone know who this sweet little boy is? Every now and then when he rides his bike he will quickly come and love on my dog or play fetch real quick, but always leaves quick like he doesn’t know if he should be here!’ She wrote.
‘I’d like to tell him he’s welcome to stay and play, she loves the attention!’
drive24 YouTube video:
The video went viral – it’s since been watched more than 2.4 million times – and the kid’s mother recognised her son from the clip.
His name is Josh and, according to his mother, Ginger Clement Breaux, he really loves dogs.
Commenting on Facebook, Ginger wrote:
“Josh talks about your dog all the time! Every time we pass he looks to see if she was sitting where he could see her. Just didn’t know he was doing things like this. Last night when I first saw it, I was torn as a momma being happy and upset because he knows he shouldn’t be on someone’s property, but I wake up this morning more happy that he just absolutely adores dogs so much.”
Apparently, when she showed Josh the video “he turned ten shades of red” but had a big smile after and said “you know I love dogs momma”.
And Hollie has now extended an invitation to Josh to visit whenever he likes – he’s already stopped by and snapped this selfie.
Sadly, Josh’s family dog, Bella, who they had had since he was two, died last year but there are plans to get him a new pal:
‘Things have been busy and Josh is active with after school activities so we have not jumped back into taking on the responsibility of starting all over again with a new pup quite yet. It will happen though!’
Until then, we’re sure Duchess and Hollie will be more than happy to have Josh keep up his visits.
