In little over five weeks, boxing fans across the globe will be glued to their television screens to watch the highly anticipated meeting between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

Almost four years to the day since their last meeting in which the Mexican won a majority decision, the feud is set to finally be put to bed once and for all, this time at super middleweight. The winner will walk away as the undisputed super middleweight champion of the world as the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring belts are all up for grabs.

For Golovkin, this will be his first time competing at super middleweight in his career, while it will be Alvarez’s sixth bout as this weight, giving him a distinct advantage in the contest. Alvarez’s last bout saw him fight at light heavyweight when he took on the challenge of fighting Dmitry Bivol.

Most boxing betting sites are already offering odds on the fight including BetUS. You can find our BetUS review here for everything you need to know about the bookmaker.

At the time of writing, BetUS have made Canelo the strong betting favorite for this matchup, pricing him at -500 to win on the moneyline. Golovkin, meanwhile, is the outsider at +350 to beat his opponent at the third time of asking.

The results in the first two meetings have been contested on both sides of the fence in favour of both fighters. The first fight was scored as a split decision draw, while Canelo came out as the winner in the second contest via another split decision.

Despite some humungous shots being landed on both sides, both fights somehow went the distance and that is likely to be another popular bet this time around. BetUS have priced the fight to go the full 12 round at -175, with an early stoppage priced at +135.

Canelo to win by KO, TKO or DQ can be backed at +185, while a win by decision is EVS. Meanwhile, Golovkin is +900 to win by KO, TKO or DQ, with a decision victory currently priced at +650.
