The final photo of a passenger from the doomed Germanwings flight which crashed into the Alps on Tuesday killing all 150 on-board.
It shows a reflection of Iranian sports writer, Hussein Javadi. He captured his smiling reflection from a hotel window in Barcelona a few hours earlier. The haunting image is of a smiling man capturing his own image.
The Express reports:
His former colleague and friend Maysam Bizaer told the Evening Standard he was “very enthusiastic” to be heading to Germany to cover two friendly matches between the Iranian national team and Chile and Sweden.
Mr Bizaer paid tribute to the “kind and caring” reporter for the Vatan Emrooz newspaper.
He had been in Barcelona to report on ‘El Clasico’ – the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Mr Javadi died alongside his colleague, Milad Hojatoleslami from the Tasnim news agency.
