Saudi Arabia Hit By Huge Ice Flash Floods

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has been hit by unprecedented hail storms and flash floods.

Extreme weather conditions have been lashing the country since October 28, with meteorologists predicting eight years of rain in just two days over the Arabian Sea

A recurring low pressure area concentrated over the northern part of the Persian Gulf is responsible for the formation of this unusual weather phenomenon which has bought huge downpours to Iran and Iraq as well.

The extreme storms have killed at least 19 people across the region including 6 by the floods in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile a powerful cyclone named Chapala was approaching war-torn Yemen on Monday having already caused havoc on the Socotra island where at least two people died and hundreds were injured.
