A Hungarian Mayor is seeking rental income from his village.
He intends to upgrade the village afterwards with the money.
Located in the north west of Hungary the village Megyer is described as tranquil with 10 acres of land, 18 people, more than a dozen animals -chickens, horses and cows.
Everything is included in the price for £500 per day, including the title of “deputy mayor” and a bus stop.
The Independent says..
Mayor Kristof Pajer said on Wednesday that the silence of the remote countryside was its main attraction.
“We offer all sorts of programs to our guests, but most are simply captivated by the surroundings and the quiet,” said Pajer, a 42-year-old engineer.
“Once they sit out in the meadow with a bottle of rose wine, nothing else matters.”
Pajer told Associated Press that he is trying to get companies to use his town as a place for corporate team-building exercises and to potentially include renovation in their activities.
