Fear mongering about the flu season has been impossible to ignore this year, as mainstream media instills the fear of God into everybody, and Big Pharma attempts to cash in with their lucrative product – the flu shot.
The success of this one-two punch combination should come as no surprise. Mainstream media and Big Pharma work hand in glove. Every year the pharmaceutical industry, medical experts and the mainstream media work hard to convince us to get vaccinated against the flu. 2018 is no different.
But, as usual, we’re not being told the whole story.
Let’s step away from mainstream media fantasy land for one moment, and re-enter reality. How widespread is the so-called influenza epidemic this year?
This year’s flu season has been “unusually active and influenza is still spreading“, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
But the CDC’s math doesn’t add up.
The CDC say the hospitalization rate for influenza is currently at 31.5 people per 100,000 U.S. residents. That would mean out of approximately 350 million Americans, just about 110,250 will end up in hospital this season.
Also according to the CDC, between 10 and 15% of influenza cases in the U.S. prove fatal. So if we crunch those numbers, out of the 110,250 people who will be hospitalized with influenza this season, approximately 16,000 will die of flu and flu related causes.
While this may sound like a lot of people, it’s not unusual. In fact, it’s significantly lower than average. A typical flu season in the U.S. claims between 20,000 to 30,000 people.
So why is mainstream media shouting from the roof tops, telling us we are in the midst of an influenza epidemic? Why are they frantically telling us to prepare for a new and improved flu shot?
People are scared. However, the CDC’s own numbers prove this is not an unusually bad flu season.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
Pharmaceutical companies provide mainstream media outlets with a huge percentage of their advertising revenue. Big pharmaceutical companies actually spend far more on advertising than research. We are talking hundreds of billions of dollars.
Big Pharma’s dollars have effectively purchased the compliance of mainstream media. You can no longer believe anything they say about pharmaceuticals, especially vaccines.
It is clear Big Pharma is desperate to ensure mainstream media outlets never tell us about adverse reactions or the toxic chemicals being injected into us in the flu shot.
It is also becoming clear that Big Pharma and mainstream media are working together to “create a market” for the flu shot.
By instilling fear in the population, they have followed a popular marketing technique to the letter. Consumers, pumped full of fear and misinformation, are now primed for the release of the next flu shot. Vaccine companies are set to cash in, all over again.
Mainstream media, the marketing arm of Big Pharma, will get their kick back.
