Weather forecasters are predicting temperatures of 28C for parts of the United Kingdom next week.
This is in sharp contrast to the cold month of May, experienced in the UK. Today’s wet and windy weather should change by the middle of next week. Rain and gale-force winds should give way to blazing sunshine. From Wednesday onwards the country should experience a more settled summertime type of weather, as is expected by the inhabitants. Gales should pass through in the early parts of the week, leaving the door open to a warm weather front coming in from continental Europe. Towards the end of next week the country is expected to flock under the sizzling sun, as predicted by the Met. Office.
However there is no guarantee if the warmth of the sun should remain throughout the summer. General experience is that the whole of summer sunshine could be around for just a few short days or weeks before it departs for another year. People are advised to make the most of the weather next weekend. Britain has suffered from summer sun austerity for a number of years. Maybe this year could be different due to all the weird weather patterns around the globe, not to mention the El-Nino weather event currently under way on the east coast of Australia.
The Mirror reports:
Temperatures are set to soar to 28C (82F) by next weekend as the country sizzles in fine weather which will rival holiday resorts in the Mediterranean.
Britons are expected to flock to parks and beaches and dig out their barbecues to make the most of the sunshine, which kicks in on Wednesday.
The balmy weather predicted is in stark contrast to the first half of the week, when much of the country will be blighted by rain, wind and below average temperatures.
Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: “Monday and Tuesday will be cool and often wet and windy.
“But then the high pressure starts to build across the UK and and it certainly becomes very warm and locally hot in the South.
